Personal Training

The Phi Club Experts provide a number of personal training disciplines, as outlined below. If you're looking for a specific kind of training, please let us know so you can be matched with the perfect trainer for you.

Core Stability Training

While core work does help produce toned abdominal muscles, core exercises include a lot more than just crunches. Functional core training is about power, strength and stabilisation. Training your core muscles will create a solid base for your body, allowing you to stay upright and stand strong on your two feet. Core work enables you to stabilise your spine, which improves and controls your posture, and provides optimal motion for daily tasks.

Muay Thai Kickboxing

Muay Thai, the ancient art of self defence from Thailand, is gaining massive popularity across the world as both a professional sport and as an activity that allows anyone – especially beginners – to achieve levels of fitness and inner peace previously thought unimaginable. It will improve self-discipline, mental agility, self-confidence, self defence, focus and weight loss.

Pre- and Post-Natal Exercise

Pre-natal: A healthy strong body and positive attitude will enable you cope with the physical and psychological challenges during your journey as a mum. There are numerous outstanding benefits for both the mother and her developing baby. Post-natal: After having your baby you may strive to lose the weight gained or get your tummy back. We will make sure you exercise safely and gradually under our guidance.

Stability Ball Training

Stability ball training makes use of an exercise ball or Swiss ball. Besides developing good overall muscle tone for your entire body, stability ball training provides numerous other benefits that range anywhere from rehabilitating back, hip, and knee injuries to delivering a powerful workout to improve core stability, posture, and muscle balance.

TRX Suspension Training

Born in the Navy Seals, TRX Suspension Training is a bodyweight exercise that develops strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously. It requires the use of the TRX Suspension Trainer, a highly portable performance training tool that leverages gravity and the user's body weight to complete hundreds of exercises.

Calisthenics

Calisthenics (also known as Street Workout) is best described as a creative training that uses only your bodyweight. This innovative format of training is perfect for beginners through to professional athletes. No matter if your goal is hypertrophy, increasing your general fitness, learning a specific move, weight loss, gaining weight or just maintaining a healthy body, calisthenics can be used to achieve your fitness goals and is a specialism at Phi Club.

Functional Training

Functional training will provide you with the strength, stability, and mobility you need to thrive in your life and sports. You use basic functional movement patterns like pushing, pulling, hinging, squatting, rotating, carrying and gait patterns—walking and running—every day. Functional training utilises exercises that improve your movement proficiency in these primary patterns to give you an edge so you can achieve your goals safely and with good health.

Power Plate Training

The Power Plate is a brand of machine offering whole-body vibration training. The unit consists of a platform upon which you sit or stand. You can adjust the frequency and amplitude of the vibration to create instability in your body. The theory is that your muscles benefit because they must activate reflexively in response to the vibration.

Resistance Training

Resistance training is any form of exercise that forces your skeletal muscles (not the involuntary muscles of your heart, lungs, etc.) to contract. In training, an external resistance (such as weights) is used to cause the contractions, and those contractions lead to increases in muscular mass, strength, endurance and tone. You can achieve this using body weight alone or adding weights.

TRX Rip Training

TRX Rip Training utilises a lever bar and resistance cord to provide a unique mix of rotation, core stability, control, power, strength, mobility, metabolic conditioning, balance and coordination challenges. It will strengthen your core muscles with exercises focused on rotational power, creating the necessary foundation for a high-performance body.

Weight Loss

One of the most popular aims for exercising is to lose weight. At Phi Club we will use the most innovative and fun methods possible while burning the most calories possible, to make sure you enjoy the training and the results too. Our programmes will encourage weight loss as well as toning and strengthening the body. We can also provide nutritional guidance to go alongside your training.
